A 24 ft x 9 ft secure steel crib room – 7.07 m long and 2.75 m wide inside, with a kitchen bench, hot water, heating and three shuttered windows. The mess room for a large site.
This is the largest crib room in the steel range: 7.07 m long and 2.75 m wide internally, which is noticeably wider than the 8 ft cabins as well as longer. That extra width is what lets you run tables down the centre with clear walkways either side instead of everyone shuffling sideways past the bench.
It comes fitted and tested – sink, taps, water heater, cabinet and worktop, power points, an electric convector heater and fluorescent strip lighting – with insulated and lined walls, a sealed vinyl floor and three sliding windows behind steel security shutters.
A useful rule on Australian sites is to size the crib room for the peak crew, not the average. The month with the concreters, formworkers and services trades all on site at once is the month people end up eating in their utes if the cabin is undersized. At 24 ft this unit handles most medium projects without a second cabin.
A 24 ft cabin is a bigger delivery than a 20 ft one – longer truck, wider set-down, more swing. Confirm access, overhead clearance and the crane position before delivery day.
Corner posts on four level bearing points; stacks with same-size units. Matching 24 ft offices and drying rooms share the footprint, so a compound lines up cleanly – see cabins for sale. For long-term installations, read the council approval guide.
