20ft x 8ft One Trip Tunnel Container – Double End Doors

A tunnel container has cargo doors at both ends and no back wall to work around. Load from one end, unload from the other, or open both and walk straight through. For palletised goods and smaller items it removes the deep-tunnel problem that makes a standard 20ft frustrating, because nothing is ever more than three metres from a doorway.

Self-storage operators buy them for a different reason: divide the container down the middle and you have two 10ft units, each with its own door and its own lockbox, out of one 20ft footprint.

Two lockboxes, two tenants

The factory lockbox at each end is what makes the split-unit arrangement work: two hirers, two padlocks, neither able to reach the other’s goods once a partition is installed. Partitioning is a straightforward workshop job and can be done before dispatch.

Handling on a tight site

Double-ended access is also worth having where the container has to be positioned against a wall or fence — you still get a usable door on whichever face remains clear. Forklift pockets run down both sides for repositioning.
