The grade a shipping line will accept: a survey-passed 20ft with a current CSC plate, roughly 33 m³ inside, sold structurally sound and watertight. Confirm availability against your sailing date.
Cargo-worthy is a survey result, not a marketing word. A container graded CW has been inspected against the criteria that let it re-enter the international shipping system, and it carries a CSC plate recording that. If you are exporting goods, or shipping a one-way load and selling the container at the far end, this is the grade you are required to buy.
These are ex-shipping-line 20ft units. They have visible working history in the paint and they are guaranteed structurally sound and wind and watertight.

Cargo-worthy is the tightest part of the used market, because the same containers are still wanted by the shipping lines. If your sailing date is fixed, give us that date when you enquire and we will confirm availability before you order. Where certified used stock is short, one-trip containers carry a valid plate too.
For a container that will sit in a yard, wind-and-watertight used stock does the same practical job for less. The difference between the grades is set out in container grades explained; certified stock is listed under containers for export.
