2021 Shadow Stablemate 3 Horse Float

The tack wall folds in and the whole float opens up. That single design decision makes this Shadow Stablemate far more versatile than a fixed three horse layout — carry three horses, or fold the wall and carry two with room, or an oversized horse, or bulky gear.

A used tag float with a front tack, a large rear door and drop-downs on all windows.

A float that reconfigures

Most floats are one shape forever. A folding tack wall gives you at least two, and in practice you will use both — the full three-horse layout for a rally or a team event, and the open configuration for a single big horse, a wide load, or a horse that will not walk past a partition.

What is fitted

• Model: 2021 Shadow Stablemate, three horse, tag (ball hitch)
• Condition: used, described as nice
• Tack: front tack; tack wall folds in to open the whole float
• Rear: large rear door
• Windows: drop-downs on all windows

Drop-downs on every window

Not all floats have drop-down windows throughout. Having them on every opening means you can set airflow to suit the weather, the direction of travel and which bays are occupied. On a hot day with a partial load, being able to open only what you need makes a real difference.
