The walk-through door

A door between the living space and the horse area means you can check a horse at two in the morning without getting dressed and walking around the outside in the rain. On a float that will be slept in at a showground, that single door is the feature that makes the layout work.

Six and a half metres, and where it goes

A 6.4 m float needs a plan for parking, gate widths and where it lives between events. It also needs a tow vehicle genuinely rated for it, loaded. Neither is a reason not to buy it — but both are reasons to measure and calculate before you do.

Imported US-market stock. Plumbing, waste, gas and electrical installations have not been assessed against Australian requirements and no compliance is claimed, nor has the float been assessed against Australian Design Rules or any livestock transport welfare code. Use licensed Australian trades for all services. For four bays, see our four horse float range.
