Two-tier racking, 2,250 mm wide, for stock that is tall rather than flat — drums, boxed goods, bins. Same 550 kg shelf rating and clip-in assembly as the three-tier bays.
Three tiers is not always right. If you are storing paint drums, boxed appliances, wheelie bins, esky-sized items or anything else that is tall rather than flat, a third shelf just means two levels you cannot use. This two-tier bay gives the same 2,250 mm width and the same 550 kg per shelf, with the levels spaced for bulk.
It fits a 10ft container’s single bay of wall, and equally suits 20ft, 30ft and 40ft units where you want part of the container racked for bulky stock and the rest left open.
| Bay width | 2,250 mm |
|---|---|
| Tiers | 2 |
| End frames | 2 pre-assembled frames, 2 m high x 600 mm wide |
| Beams | 2 per shelf with safety clips |
| Shelf | 25 mm chipboard |
| Shelf capacity | 550 kg per shelf |
| Height adjustment | 50 mm increments |
| Finish | Powder coated steel |
| Max bays per side | 10ft: 1 | 20ft: 2 | 40ft: 5 |
Nothing stops you running three-tier bays for small parts along one side and two-tier bays for bulk along the other — the frames and beams are common to both. Most sites end up doing exactly that after the first month of using the container properly.
With both sides racked at 600 mm deep there is no room left for an end-wall bay in a 10ft container. If you need that third face, the 20ft is the smallest size that allows it. Browse container accessories or the 8ft and 10ft containers.
