20ft x 8ft Secure Steel Site Office Cabin

Six metres by 2.195 m of uninterrupted floor makes this the default head-contractor office. It takes a row of workstations down one wall, a meeting table across the end, and the drawing racks in between, which is the layout most site offices end up in anyway.

The build is secure steel throughout: steel external door with two deadlocks, two sliding windows behind steel shutters, insulated and lined walls and ceiling, sealed vinyl floor. Power points, convector heating and fluorescent strip lighting are fitted and the cabin is electrically tested before dispatch.

Open plan, and why that is usually right

Site offices change use constantly – supervisor’s desk one month, induction room the next, subcontractor hot-desking the month after. An open shell partitioned with furniture adapts; a factory-partitioned cabin does not. If you do want a permanent partition, a toilet or a canteen bench, look at the built-to-order and refurbished cabins instead.

Foundations

Corner posts, not jacking legs. Four solid level bearing points, ideally concrete pads, and keep them out of the run-off path. Stacking is possible with other 20 ft x 8 ft steel units, which is the practical answer on a site with no spare ground.
