20ft Self Storage Container with Bamboo Floor – Blue (RAL 5010)

Self-storage operators have a specific problem no other container buyer has: the unit gets handed to a new customer every few months, and the floor is what they judge it on. A 28 mm marine plywood floor absorbs oil, wine, cat litter and everything else a domestic customer brings, and it cannot be brought back. This 20ft unit is supplied with a sealed bamboo floor instead — hard, non-porous and able to be mopped between hires, which is why we supply it to storage yards around the country.

Underneath the floor it is an ordinary one-trip 20ft container: Cor-Ten steel, built to ISO standards in China, CSC plated to 30 tonnes gross, finished in RAL 5010 gentian blue.

Buying for a yard rather than a block

If you are laying out a storage site, the four vents matter as much as the floor: condensation complaints are the second most common thing hirers raise after security. Ventilation, a gravel or concrete base that drains, and a small gap between rows all reduce them.
