Two cars, stacked: a 7.92 m ATC Stacker ROM 800 with a tiltable 4.27 m lift, 3.45 m interior height and three 2,720 kg spread torsion axles under a 1.27 mm aluminium skin.
Three axles, 7.92 m of length and 3.45 m of interior height. The ATC Stacker ROM 800 is built around a tiltable 4.27 m lift, so two cars travel stacked rather than nose to tail, and the trailer stays short enough to manoeuvre in a paddock.
Against two separate enclosed car trailers, the arithmetic for a two-car team is simple: one trailer, one tow vehicle, one set of fuel bills.
At approximately 3.45 m inside, this trailer has roughly the headroom of a domestic garage — but stacked. That is what allows a car on the lift and a car underneath. It also means you need to know your overall travel height and your route: overpasses, service station awnings, carpark entries and drive-through boom gates all become live considerations.
A tri-axle spread group shares the load across six tyres and settles the trailer at speed. It also asks more of your tow vehicle and your reversing technique — a three-axle group scrubs noticeably in tight turns. Plan your combination and your parking accordingly.
Imported US-market stock. This unit has not been assessed against Australian Design Rules and no claim is made about registrability, roadworthiness, axle group ratings under Australian rules, or towing legality. Confirm all of that with your state transport authority before purchase if you intend to use it on a road. For haulage rather than motorsport, compare our container chassis and trailers.
