What “stored under cover” is worth

Sun destroys float seals, tyres, wiring insulation and paint faster than kilometres do. A float kept in a shed will be visibly and structurally better than an identical unit kept in a paddock, regardless of what the odometer of the tow vehicle says. It is the single best predictor of condition on a used float.

The extra-tall option

Sundowner’s extra-height build takes the interior to 2.29 m. On a three-horse angle load that gives every bay room for a horse to lift its head and balance, and it makes the float substantially less claustrophobic for a nervous traveller. It is the option most owners wish they had specified.
