2005 Sundowner Sunlite 2 Horse Float

A Rumber floor is the detail worth knowing about here. Rumber is a recycled-rubber composite plank system used instead of timber, and it does not rot, does not need mats over it and does not hide a problem underneath. On a used float that is a significant advantage.

This Sundowner Sunlite is a compact two horse float with a 0.61 m short wall and a 3.66 m box, described as clean as new.

Floors are where floats fail

Almost every serious float failure starts with the floor. Timber rots under mats where you cannot see it; steel corrodes at the bearers. A composite plank floor removes both failure modes and lets you actually inspect what you are standing on. It is the first thing to look at on any float and the easiest thing to get wrong.

Short box, everyday use

At 3.66 m this is a genuinely compact float — easy to park, easy to reverse, easy to store beside a shed. For owners doing regular short trips to lessons, the farrier and the vet, that convenience gets used every week, while the extra length of a bigger float gets used twice a year.

Imported US-market stock, not assessed against Australian Design Rules or any state registration, roadworthy or livestock welfare requirement. No such compliance is claimed. Have the float inspected by a qualified person before use. If you need more capacity, look at our three horse floats.
