2000 Featherlite 3 Horse Gooseneck Float with Dressing Room

Rubber-lined kick walls are the detail that separates a float built for horses from a box with partitions in it. This Featherlite three horse gooseneck float has them, along with a 1.22 m dressing room with a clothes rod, a three-tier saddle rack and roof vents throughout.

Two dividers, drop-down windows on the head side and slats at the rear give you a well-ventilated, well-organised three-horse setup.

Kick walls and what horses do to them

Horses lean, paw and kick in transit — all of them, not just the difficult ones. A rubber-lined lower wall absorbs that instead of transmitting it into the panel and into the horse’s hock. On an older float, the state of the kick walls also tells you a lot about how hard its life has been.

Slats at the rear

Slatted rear panels let air move through the back of the float without the horses being exposed to road spray or debris. In summer, with the float stationary in a queue, that airflow is the difference between a horse arriving calm and a horse arriving distressed.
