A one-trip 20ft converted into a serving unit: three hatches, insulated and lined walls and ceiling, non-slip vinyl floor and a 10-point locking rear door. Ready for your fit-out, not for structural work.
This is a working food and drinks unit, not a shell. A one-trip 20ft container is taken into our conversion workshop and comes out with three serving hatches, a lined and insulated interior, a non-slip floor and a security door in the back — the point at which you can start fitting out for a menu rather than starting on structural work. It is one of the most requested conversions we build, and it turns up at markets, festivals, sports grounds, caravan parks and permanent laneway sites.
The pair of double doors at the end are retained, which is what most operators use for signage and branding when the unit is closed up overnight.

The unit is supplied as a fitted-out serving shell: insulated, lined, floored, with hatches and a secure door. Cooking equipment, refrigeration, sinks, plumbing, gas and the final electrical connection are not included — they depend entirely on your menu and on what your local council’s environmental health officer will approve. Ask us for the conversion drawings early so your fit-out trades can plan around them.
A mobile or fixed food premises in Australia needs registration with the local council and has to meet the Food Standards Code, including hand-wash provisions and surface finishes. That process runs on council timeframes, not ours, so start it in parallel with the build. Our council approval guide covers placement consent for a fixed site.
We also build office, workshop and amenities conversions from the same base container. Browse the 20ft range for the underlying units.
