40ft High Cube Reefer Container – Refrigerated Storage

Sixty-seven cubic metres of refrigerated volume, which is the largest single temperature-controlled space in a standard container format. Forty-foot high cube reefers are what move produce, seafood, meat and dairy in bulk, and they carry the same job over to static use — cold storage at a processing site, a distribution yard, a remote camp or a seasonal packing shed.

The high cube profile is standard on 40ft reefers because the insulation and the refrigeration unit consume height that a standard container cannot spare.

Pre-trip inspection matters

Every reefer we supply has been through a pre-trip inspection, which is the test that proves the refrigeration machinery holds temperature under load rather than merely running. On a used unit that inspection is the difference between a working cold room and a very expensive steel box. Ask for the PTI record with your unit.

Site requirements

• Three-phase supply appropriate to the machinery — confirm before delivery
• Level, firm standing that will carry over 4.5 tonnes empty
• Clear airflow around the refrigeration unit at the front end
• Vertical clearance for a high cube along the whole delivery route

New or used

Both are stocked, and the gap between them is largely cosmetic and hours-on-the-machinery rather than performance.
