20ft High Cube Container (9ft 6in) for IBC Storage

Sixteen 1,000-litre IBCs, loaded through doors on the 8ft end and along one 20ft side. That is what this container is for. The extra height of a high cube gives a forklift room to lift and place a caged IBC without fouling the ceiling, and the side opening means you are not threading tote after tote down a six-metre tunnel from one end.

It is a one-trip unit, CSC plated to 30 tonnes gross, with a 28 mm marine plywood floor on steel cross members and lockboxes fitted at the factory.

Working out your capacity

Sixteen is the figure for standard 1,000-litre caged IBCs stood on the floor in a single layer. If you are stacking, the load rating of the IBCs themselves governs, not the container. If you are mixing IBCs with drums, allow working room to reach the back — the whole point of the side doors is that you should not have to unload to get at something.

Bunding is not included

This container has a plywood floor, not a bund. Storing dangerous goods in IBCs means providing containment underneath — bunded pallets inside this unit, or a purpose-built bunded container instead. Your obligations under AS 1940 and your state regulator depend on the class and quantity you hold.
