An aluminium dump body at 14,000 lb rated capacity is a rare combination, and the numbers explain why people want it: a tare of about 1,202 kg against a rated payload of roughly 5,149 kg. A comparable steel dump trailer would weigh well over two tonnes empty, and every kilogram of that comes out of what you can carry.

The extruded aluminium deck also does not rust out under wet fill, which is where steel dump bodies usually fail first.
