Heat management on a 34-footer

A big aluminium box has an enormous surface area facing the sun. A white exterior, an insulated vinyl ceiling, 914 mm of carpet on the walls, twin roof vents and A/C framing all stack up to make the interior liveable rather than merely enclosed. Order matters: passive measures first, mechanical cooling second.

Skid wheels and long overhangs

Heavy-duty skid wheels under the rear take the contact when a long trailer with a wide ramp door crests a driveway or a service station apron. Without them, the first thing to touch is the ramp hinge — an expensive thing to bend.
