Reverse angle load and how horses balance

Facing rearward on the diagonal, a horse takes braking loads through its hindquarters — the strongest part of it — rather than propping on its forelegs. Many owners report calmer travel, less scrambling and horses that arrive less tired. It also means the horse walks off forwards rather than backing down a ramp blind.

Insulation and fans together

Insulation slows heat coming in; fans move the air that is already there. Neither works properly alone. A fully insulated float with fans fitted is about as good as it gets for summer travel in this country, and it is uncommon on a two-horse of this size.
