2019 Sundowner Charter 2 Horse Float

Sundowner’s Charter was built with warmblood-size bays, and that is the reason this 2019 tag float is worth a look among our two horse floats if your horse is bigger than average. A 4.88 m floor length in a two-horse layout means each bay is generous rather than adequate.

The float is used and described as being in great condition.

The figures, in metric

• Floor length: 4.88 m

What “warmblood size” actually means

There is no standard definition — it is a marketing description, not a specification. What it generally indicates is longer bays and more shoulder room than a standard two-horse. Measure your horse and measure the float. Length of bay matters more than any label.

Checking a 2019 float before purchase

A float this age should have plenty of structure left, but it has also had five or six seasons of use. Bearings, brake magnets, breakaway battery, tyre age (not just tread) and floor condition are the five things to have checked. Ask us for details on any of them and we will find out — contact us.

No claim is made that it complies with Australian Design Rules, is registrable or roadworthy in any state, or meets any Australian livestock transport welfare code — none of that has been assessed.
