2018 Lakota 84HBPSL 4 Horse Angle Load Float with 2ft Short Wall

All-aluminium with an aluminium floor, an escape door, a hay rack and 3,180 kg axles on 16-inch wheels. The Lakota 84HBPSL is a clean, conventional four-horse angle load from 2018, which makes it one of the newer four horse floats we list.

A 0.61 m short wall over a full 2.13 m long wall gives a compact but usable dressing room.

Aluminium floors under four horses

Four horses put a lot of weight and a lot of moisture through a floor. An extruded aluminium deck removes the rot risk entirely and does not lose strength with age the way a timber floor does. Check the fasteners and the perimeter seal rather than the planks themselves — that is where an aluminium floor will show wear.

Heavier axles, and why

At 3,180 kg per axle this is rated well above the 2,360 kg axles common on three-horse floats. That is what four horses demands. It also means larger brakes, larger hubs and heavier bearings, all of which need servicing on schedule rather than when something starts making a noise.
