2006 C&C 4 Horse Gooseneck Float

Nearly eleven metres overall with a 6.71 m stock area, on 3,400 kg axles. This all-aluminium C&C gooseneck is the largest of our four horse floats and the manufacturer’s gross rating of approximately 8,780 kg puts it firmly into heavy-trailer territory.

Turf on the angle wall, the gooseneck and the drop wall gives the horses grip and quiet where they contact the structure.

What a heavy float asks of you

A gross rating near 8,780 kg is a different class of vehicle. It changes what tow vehicle you need, what licence you may require, what brake system is expected, and how it must be registered. All of those answers come from your state transport authority, not from a US specification sheet, and they need to be answered before you buy rather than after.

Turf on the contact surfaces

Artificial turf on the angle wall and drop wall gives a horse something to lean on that is neither slippery nor hard. It also deadens the noise of a hoof against aluminium, which on a long trip with four horses makes a noticeable difference to how settled the whole load stays.
