2018 Lakota 83HBPSL 3 Horse Angle Load Float

Worth flagging up front: this Lakota 83HBPSL is a three-horse angle-load float, listed here alongside our two horse float stock. If you are shopping for two horses with room to spare, or you expect a third to join the family, it is a sensible unit to have in the comparison.

All-aluminium with an aluminium floor, 2.44 m outside width, 4.88 m box, mangers and an escape door.

Buying a three when you have two

Owners who buy exactly enough float usually buy again within three years. A three-horse gives you room for a friend’s horse, a young one coming on, or simply more space per animal on a long trip. The cost is weight and length, both of which have to be within what your tow vehicle can actually handle.

Width and where you can take it

At 2.44 m outside this is a wide float. It will not fit through some farm gates, some showground entries or some suburban carports. Measure before you buy. If width is a constraint, look at the narrower units in our three horse float category or stay with a two.
