12ft x 8ft Secure Steel Site Office Cabin

This 12 ft x 8 ft is the workhorse site office: one open room of 3.41 m x 2.195 m that takes a desk, a plan chest and four people around a table without anyone climbing over anything. Builders, subcontractors, event organisers and mine-support crews all use this size because it delivers on a standard truck and needs nothing more than a power lead to start work.

Built to be left alone

Security is the reason to choose steel over a demountable. The external door is steel with two deadlocks, the single window sits behind a steel shutter, and the shell has no accessible timber. Insulated walls and ceiling keep it usable in a Queensland summer or a Tablelands winter, and the wipe-clean lining boards survive hard hats and hi-vis.

Electrical fit-out

Power points, an electric convector heater and fluorescent strip lighting are already installed and the unit is electrically tested before dispatch. Final connection to your site supply is a licensed electrician’s job and must be certified to AS/NZS 3000.

Footprint and stacking

It stands on corner posts rather than jacking legs, so the ground preparation is simple: four solid, level bearing points. On a constrained inner-city site the same-size units stack, which is a cheaper way to add a second office than expanding the compound. If you would rather compare this against a converted 20 ft container as an office, the internal measurements are in our dimensions guide. Other sizes are listed under cabins for sale.
