12ft x 10ft Site Office Donga

Adding 600 mm of length over the 10 ft model turns a one-person box into a workable two-person office, which is why the 12 ft x 10 ft is the size most builders end up buying first. Internally you get 3.46 m x 2.85 m of open floor – enough for two desks along one wall and a plans table, or a single desk with a genuine meeting corner.

Like the rest of the standard-range dongas, the design is fixed: window and door positions do not move, the floor is vinyl, the cladding is Goosewing Grey, and an electric timed panel heater comes fitted. Ordering from a set specification is what keeps this size sharply priced against a built-to-order cabin.

Typical Australian uses

• Residential builders running two to six houses at a time
• Council and civil contract offices on road and drainage works
• Farm and station offices where the homestead is a long way from the machinery shed
• Weighbridge and gatehouse duty on quarry and transfer stations
• Temporary reception during a shop or clubhouse refurbishment

Getting it level

Corner jacking legs let you dial out ground fall on delivery, but they work best off a prepared surface. Concrete pads, hardwood sole plates or a compacted crusher-dust bed under each corner will stop the legs punching into soft ground after rain, which is the usual cause of a door that suddenly will not close.

Power and connection

The cabin is pre-wired for lighting, power points and the heater and needs a single supply lead from your site board, terminated by a licensed electrician. Nothing else is required to put it into service. Other sizes in the range are listed under cabins for sale; if the office is going to stay put long-term, read our guide to council approval first.
