A CSC-plated cargo-worthy 20ft, surveyed fit for sea. The grade to buy when the container may be resold, shipped or written into a contract — not just parked in a yard.
For a business that needs a container to hold value on the balance sheet as well as hold stock, cargo-worthy is the grade to buy. It carries a current CSC plate, which means an independent survey has passed it fit to go back to sea — the same test applies whether you intend to ship it or park it. Resale is easier, insurers ask fewer questions, and there is no argument later about what condition it was in when it arrived.
These are ex-shipping-line 20ft units on 28 mm marine plywood over steel cross members, with two locking bars per door and forklift pockets on both sides.

Cargo-worthy sits between wind-and-watertight used stock and a one-trip container. If the box is going to live in a yard forever, the cheaper grade does the job; if it may be sold on, shipped, or has to satisfy a contract clause, the certification is worth the difference. Our price guide shows where each grade sits in the current Australian market.
Have four bearers or pads ready at the corner castings and a clear straight approach for the tilt-tray. Delivery is a flat A$450 anywhere in Australia. More used stock is listed in the used container range and the rest of this size in the 20ft category.
