The aluminium-framed Extreme in charcoal: lighter than the steel version once a car, a genny and a full toolkit are aboard, with a locked external genset bay and an insulated roof.
Charcoal Extreme, 8.53 m, on 2,720 kg spread torsion axles with an insulated ceiling and a generator compartment built into the base cabinet run. This is the aluminium version of Millennium’s race trailer, and the weight saving over the steel-framed Extreme matters once you have loaded a car, a genny and a full toolkit.
A 1,829 mm beavertail and a slide-out step under a 1,219 mm side door make the daily use of it easy.
Most of the radiant heat load on a parked trailer comes through the roof. Insulating the ceiling alone captures most of the benefit for a fraction of the weight and cost of insulating the whole box, and it also stops condensation dripping onto the car overnight in a cold paddock.
Built into the base cabinet run with its own external door, the generator stays locked, dry, and outside the trailer’s air. It also means the exhaust is outside the box while it runs — which is not optional, it is the only safe way to do it.
