SKU: AC-0293 Category:

Two ramps. A rear ramp and a side ramp, both with doors that latch back for airflow during travel — that combination is genuinely hard to find, and it is the reason this Hawk stands out among our two horse floats.

Aluminium body on a galvanised steel frame with a fibreglass top, recently serviced with tyres less than a year old at the time of listing.

Why a side ramp changes things

A side ramp at 1,372 mm wide lets a horse walk on and off in a straight line rather than backing down. For a young horse, a horse that has had a bad loading experience, or an older horse with stiff hocks, that is the difference between a routine load and a forty-minute standoff. It also gives you a second exit if something goes wrong.

What is fitted

  • Loading: rear ramp and side ramp; side ramp 1,372 mm wide
  • Doors: latch back during travel for ventilation
  • Ventilation: two-way roof vent over each stall
  • Windows: sliding on the sides and in the rear doors; bulkhead window and sliding windows in the nose
  • Dividers: removable head divider; padded walls, divider, chest bars and butt bars; rubber-lined walls
  • Dressing room: saddle racks, bridle hooks, blanket bar, brush box
  • Condition: recently serviced, tyres under one year old at the time of listing

Padding everywhere it counts

Padded chest bars, padded butt bars, padded dividers and rubber-lined walls means there is very little hard surface for a horse to hit. On a float carrying a valuable competition horse, or a horse that travels badly, that padding is cheap insurance against a bruised chest or a cut hock.
