Escape doors and why they exist

An escape door in the front of the horse area lets a handler out ahead of a horse rather than backing past it in a confined space. On a float where you lead a horse in and tie it before securing the breeching bar, that door is the safety margin. Never buy a float without one if you handle horses alone.

Matching it to a tow vehicle

At around 1,450 kg empty plus two horses and gear, this float lands in the range where a well-specified dual-cab or large wagon can cope.
