2000 C&C 2 Horse Gooseneck Float

Two cameras and a monitor for the tow vehicle. That is the feature that separates this all-aluminium C&C gooseneck from every other two horse float we stock — you can actually watch what your horses are doing at 100 km/h instead of guessing from the mirrors.

Add fans over each stall, two escape doors, a walk-through into the horse area and an 11 ft (3.35 m) awning, and it is a well thought-out float rather than a collection of options.

Watching the horses travel

A camera system tells you whether a horse is settled, whether a divider has shifted, and whether something has gone wrong long before you would otherwise notice. On a long haul between regional grounds it is the single most reassuring thing you can fit to a float.

Airflow in an Australian summer

A fan per stall plus a screened rear opening lets you travel with the back open for airflow without the horses being exposed. In February, on the Newell, that arrangement matters more than almost anything else on the specification list.
