A 5 m x 2.44 m secure steel crib room with kitchen bench, hot water, heating and two shuttered windows. Fully fitted and electrically tested, so it only needs power and water on arrival.
The 16 ft crib room is the size most medium sites settle on. Five metres of external length gives 4.63 m x 2.195 m inside – long enough for a bench and sink at one end and a table that seats eight at the other, without the crew eating with their elbows in each other’s ribs.
It arrives fitted out, not as a shell. The kitchen end has a sink, taps, water heater, cabinet and worktop; the room has power points, an electric convector heater and fluorescent strip lighting, all tested before dispatch. Two sliding windows keep it bright, and both sit behind steel security shutters.
The shell is what UK suppliers call anti-vandal: welded steel skin, no exposed timber, one steel external door with two deadlocks. It is the reason these cabins survive on unfenced sites where a demountable would be stripped in a weekend.
It stands on corner posts rather than jacking legs, so it needs four firm, level bearing points and nothing else. If the compound is tight, matching same-size units stack, which is a much cheaper way to add a drying room or office above than widening the yard.
Most sites pair this with a matching office and a drying room in the same footprint. The complete range is under cabins for sale, and if you are costing a compound against container conversions instead, start with our price guide.
