10ft x 8ft Flat Floor Bunded Store Container

A workshop that keeps drums of degreaser, two-stroke fuel and waste oil in the open eventually has a problem: the first heavy downpour washes the spill into the stormwater drain. This 10ft flat floor bunded store is a one-trip shipping container converted into a lockable chemical store with a welded 3 mm Durbar steel floor sitting over a sealed bund, so anything that leaks stays inside the unit instead of running out the door. It is a common fit-out on WA mine service yards, council depots and fabrication shops that need drum storage away from the main building.

The bund is formed in steel and welded in, not dropped in as a liner tray, and the container keeps its original Cor-Ten shell, hinged double doors and factory lockbox. Twelve vents are cut into the walls so vapour does not build up in a closed steel box in summer.

Bund sizing for flammable and combustible liquids in Australia is set by AS 1940 and by your state regulator, and the volume you need depends on what you are storing and how much of it.
