10ft x 10ft Site Office Donga

At 3.05 m x 3.05 m this is the smallest donga in the fixed-layout range, and it exists for sites that simply do not have room for a 20-footer. Surveyors, security posts, small subdivision jobs, plant nurseries and rural properties all use this size as a one or two-person office where a desk, a filing cabinet and a heater are the whole brief.

The layout is fixed – windows and doors sit where they sit – and that is deliberate. Standardising the shell is what keeps this size affordable compared with a built-to-order cabin. You get a vinyl floor as standard (carpet can be fitted on request), a Goosewing Grey exterior and an electric timed panel heater already installed.

Levelling and ground prep

The cabin sits on corner jacking legs, which is where the older British name “jackleg cabin” came from. The legs take out modest ground fall, but they are not a substitute for a prepared pad. Four concrete pads or a compacted base under each corner will stop the floor flexing and keep the door latching. Check the diagonal after levelling.

Delivery access

A 3 m cabin is a hiab or tilt-tray job rather than a crane job, and it will fit through a standard site gate. Where a truck cannot get close enough, look instead at a flat-packed cabin that can be carried in by hand.

How it compares

If you need room for a meeting table or a second workstation, step up to a 12 ft or 16 ft unit in the same range. All sizes sit together under cabins for sale, and if you are weighing a donga against a fitted-out container, the dimensions guide compares internal space honestly.
