A 6.1 m x 3.05 m open-plan site office donga from the fixed standard range. Vinyl floor, timed panel heaters and grey cladding, with room for a supervisor team and a full site meeting.
Six metres long by three metres wide gives 5.9 m x 2.85 m of clear internal floor, and that is enough to run a real site office: three or four workstations, a plan table, a printer and still space for a toolbox talk out of the rain. It is the largest donga in the fixed standard range and the one head contractors most often specify for a compound that will be occupied for the duration of a build.
Everything is set specification – windows and doors in fixed positions, vinyl flooring, Goosewing Grey exterior, electric timed panel heaters already installed. That standardisation is the reason a 20 ft donga costs what it does compared with a built-to-order cabin.
This is the size where delivery planning starts to matter. It needs a truck with room to swing and set down, overhead clearance clear of powerlines, and a level pad. On a suburban infill site, walk the access with the driver before delivery day rather than on it.
Corner jacking legs sit within a 3.18 m overall width. Set them on pads and check both diagonals; a 6 m cabin will telegraph any twist straight into the door frame.
The standard range is open plan with or without a fitted canteen. For partitioned offices, toilets or bespoke window positions, look at the built-to-order and refurbished cabins under cabins for sale. Comparing a donga with a container conversion? The internal dimensions are in our dimensions guide.
