A 300 lumen magnetic LED ceiling light with a PIR sensor that only triggers in the dark. Sticks straight to the container steel, no wiring, and runs six to twelve months on the supplied D cells.
The problem with container lighting is that you are usually holding something in both hands when you need it. This magnetic ceiling light solves that with a PIR sensor: walk in, it comes on, and it switches itself off twenty seconds after the last movement so the batteries are not burning while you are outside at the ute.
It sticks to the steel ceiling or wall by magnet — no wiring, no drilling, no electrician — and it can be moved to a different spot in seconds if the layout changes. Screw fixings are available if the container has been lined out.

One light per 10 ft of container length is the sensible starting point: one in a 10ft, two in a 20ft, four in a 40ft. Spacing matters more than raw output — a single bright lamp at one end of a 40ft leaves the far end in shadow no matter how many lumens it puts out.
The PIR only triggers when it is actually dark. Without that, every daytime door opening would run the lamp and the batteries would be flat in weeks instead of lasting most of a year.
This lamp handles the interior. For the approach and the padlock, the solar floodlight mounts on a post clamped into a corner casting and needs no wiring either. Both are in container accessories, and the containers they fit are in the 8ft and 10ft range.
