A used 20ft graded wind and watertight: about 33 m³, sealed doors, sound marine ply floor, and honest cosmetic wear. Half the price of a one-trip for the same usable space.
Wind and watertight is the grade most Australian buyers should be looking at. It means the container keeps all weather out and is structurally sound — the doors seal, the roof does not leak, the frame is square — while carrying the dents, patches and mixed paint of a container that has spent a decade at sea. For anything that is going to sit in a yard and be locked, that is the whole specification.
These are ex-shipping-line 20ft units on 28 mm marine plywood over steel cross members, with two locking bars per door and fitted vents.

| Door opening (W x H) | 2.34 m x 2.28 m |

Roughly half, and what you give up is paint. The steel thickness, the floor, the locking gear and the internal volume are the same. If the container is going to be seen by customers, or converted into something people will live or work in, pay for the one-trip. If it is going behind a shed, do not.
Above this sit Grade A and cargo-worthy stock; below it, the cheapest well-used units. Read container grades explained so you buy the right one, and check what each should cost in our Australian price guide. Full stock is in the used container range.
