A used container cut down to 10ft with new panels and corner posts welded in and a full respray — 2.84 m of internal length for sites where a 20ft was never going to fit.
Not every site has room for six metres of container. A cut-down 10ft is the answer: a full-size ex-shipping-line container shortened to length, with new rear panels and corner posts fabricated in, then prepared and resprayed inside and out so it does not look like an offcut. Typically a 40ft yields four of them.
The result is 2.84 metres of internal length that will fit down the side of a house, into a strata car park, or onto a commercial pad that was already full.

Price, mostly. A one-trip factory 10ft is a new container and costs like one; a cut-down uses steel that has already earned its keep. You are also not limited to ten feet — if your gap is 3.2 metres or 4.8 metres, we cut to the measurement rather than selling you the nearest standard size.
Ship it. Cutting voids the CSC plate, so a cut-down container is for storage and on-site use only. If it needs to travel as sea freight, buy a plated 20ft or 40ft.
Small containers still need level bearers and a clear approach for the tilt-tray. On residential land you will usually need council consent for a container kept permanently — see our council approval guide, and the rest of the stock in the used container range.
