Air suspension is rare on any four horse float, and it is the reason to look hard at this Jamco. Dakota air suspension smooths out the sharp inputs that a torsion or spring axle passes straight into the floor — which is the difference between a horse bracing constantly for four hours and a horse standing relaxed.

Why air suspension matters to a horse

A horse in a float is standing on a moving platform for the whole trip, constantly making small muscular corrections. Reducing the sharpness of the inputs reduces that work.
