2003 Featherlite 2HST 2 Horse Straight Load Float

Mangers change how a horse travels, and few two horse floats have them. Rather than a bare chest bar, this Featherlite 2HST has feed mangers at the front of each bay, which gives the horse something to occupy it, keeps its head at a natural angle and stops hay ending up under its feet.

Mangers, hay and respiratory health

Feeding at head height for hours can encourage dust to settle in the airway, so most horse people wet the hay and keep the trip as short as practical. What a manger does give you is a horse that stands quietly and a floor that is not carpeted in wasted feed on arrival.

The 110 V wiring

This float is wired to United States 110 V specification. It must not be connected to Australian 240 V supply as it stands. A licensed Australian electrician needs to assess and rework the system before any part of it is energised — treat that as a required cost, not an optional upgrade.
